That is self discovery people NOT self love. ;) Follow along with me if you will and see how a man that has made many mistakes in life tries to figure out how to let the past be just that. The past.

:D
And since we are finally getting a date night tonight (the first in so long I can't remember), Let's just go ahead and chalk up another Oh YEAH!! for tonight as well.
My parents are watching the boys over night, we're going to dinner and then a movie. Maybe take a stroll through Victoria's Secret to look for some new bras for the boobies. Then we'll come home and have The Sex. Hopefully more than once.
Have a nice night. I know we will. NOTHING will spoil this. Nothing.

Pictures
This is a picture of the bridge at sunset. Excuse the junk in the freground. We are replacing the bridge haouse so it is a construction zone.
Here we are atop the bridge looking east. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be up there.
Looking south we see the other bridge in the air to let a tug boat go underneath. The birdge would be the tower you see in the middle of the picture.
Here we are looking straight down. Scarey.
This is looking north towards Sacramento. If you click on the image and enlarge it you can actually see the tall buildings in the city. We are currently about 30 miles from downtown.
The following pictures are the bridge in the open position for the tug and barge to go under.

The next bridge I hope to concur is over 100 feet tall. There are some amazing views from that bridge. Then I'm hoping to concur the final bridge which is close to 200 feet tall. From that bridge I will actually be able to take a picture of my roof.
**NEW POST BELOW**
The thinking blogger
Thank you very much RS for the nomination and sorry it took so long to get to doing this.
Here are the rules:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote.
Wow. Now I need to think of 5 blogs that make me think. Obviously all of the blogs I read make me think! :D
Alas I can only nominate 5 so here goes.
Of course you had to know this one was coming. I'm going to nominate my very sexy, very loving, very special wife Summer Rose. I am choosing her not because she is my wife. So there is no fear of favoritism. I'm choosing her because she has made me think about our life and what I needed to do to change it and make it better.
Next will be a person that has already been nominated. But I can't help but to nominate Unsolicited Advice. Both versions. I have stated on many occasions that in his comment section that the post made me think. And isn't that the point of the award?
Next on the list we have Dirty Filthy Princess. She is a wonderful adult blogger. In a committed relationship with her husband. She is very devoted to her values and loves sex with her husband. How great is that?
LBP makes me think quite a bit as well. he makes me think about how badly I want to go hunting in the places he has been. We share a great love for the outdoors and our families.
Last but not least We have a tag team nomination that makes me go a little over 5. They have been nominated already, but I have to nominate them once again. This couple is an inspiration to all. They have proven that even when things get unbelievably difficult and hard, You can make it out the pother side together. Not just together in their case though. They have come out stronger as well. I'm talking about Therese and RS.They are open and honest about their struggles. Yet they have a wonderful sense of humor when they get on some topics in the comments. Especially when it comes to making Therese blush. :D

My take on male friendships
To quote PM: "Your wife is very cool to say that.
And, after all, you have friends IRL to who you talk about your gripes and frustrations, right? Summer is smart enough to know that...and that you need to voice them so they don't build up."
So here we go with my reality/oppinion on friendships in general. Not just male friendships.
When I was in school (Jr. high and High school) I didn't hang with the "in crowd". I didn't really have a specific group of friends that I hung out with. I had a whole bunch of acquaintances though. There were some real good friends I had. One of whom was the best man at my wedding.
But looking back on my past most of my friends were of the female persuasion. I've always had an easier time of talking with members of the opposite sex than I did talking with guys. In the core group that we had towards the end of high school we had a ratio of close to 3 girls to 1 guy. It was what worked for us.
I don't know what it was or actually still is that makes it easier for me to talk to people of the opposite sex. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm not into the normal guy stuff. I'm not really into sports. Or things that most guys do.
Then after graduation I got into the stoner crowd. You know the group of people that were always in a cloud of smoke pondering the meaning of useless trivial stuff. Oh the fun we had. :D But even then we had more girls than guys we had in that circle as well. That's also when my sister got to be one of my good friends. We finally had something in common. At that point I was 19, my sister was 17 and we would hang out at a local bar with about 6-8 other people ranging in age from 16-19. Yes we were allowed to hang out at a bar when we were underage. As long as we didn't actually step up to the bar it was cool. We were there for the pool table. We were dam good too. That's where I met my first GF. After I met here and started having sex with her that was it. For the entire time we were together (a whole whopping month) and for a time afterwards when we were just sleeping together without dating I didn't hang out with any of my friends. It was just her and that was it.
After I stopped sleeping with her I found myself back in the core group at the bar playing pool. A month later I moved away from home for the first time. For the first time I had more guy "friends" than girl friends. But they were more like acquaintances than friends. A few months later I met Summer and we became an item.
We got married and moved to Oklahoma (just the thought of that state makes shivers go through me). Then from that time forward it was just her and I. For the last 13 years I haven't had any real close friends at all. Male or female.
Currently I don't have anyone that I consider to be my friend. At least in real life. There's no one that I call on the phone to just shoot the shit with. I don't go to someones house to hang out or do stuff with. I go to work and come home. That's it.
So in answer to PM's comment no. I don't have friends IRL that I talk to about anything.
I don't even consider the people that I work with to be friends either. I talk to them about work and that's it. I'm there to work. Not make friends.
I sometimes think that has a lot to do with my frustrations in life. I don't have any one besides Summer that I talk to about anything. Don't get me wrong. I love Summer and love to talk to her. But sometimes I think that it would be nice to go hang with the guys once in awhile and do guy things. Whatever guy things are.
With that being said about real life friends, I feel that the only friends I do have are the friends I have online. Not saying anything bad you all that I consider to be friends but how sad is that?
Once again FTN brought up another post about friendships. This time it was about friends as a couple. You know friends that you and you spouse have in common. Another couple to hang out with. That is another thing that Summer and I don't have (she has friends of her own we just don't have friends as a couple). I'd like to have another couple that we can got out to dinner with or go to their house and play a game of swap your undies. :D You know stuff that friends do as couples. At least that is what FTN makes me think couples do when they get together. that is what you do together isn't it?
But as my brain works at the moment I want these things on one side of my head. The other side says how are you going to do this? Here you are at 33 years old. Do you plan on just going up to a couple and say "Hey let's go out to dinner and go home and play a rousing game of swap you undies." It's just not gonna happen. So here I sit.
you know something? I just realized that this is 2 days in a row that I posted something that probably made no sense at all.

Dilema time
You see here's the problem. I used to use this blog as a place that I could go to so that I could vent my frustrations and what have you. But I'm finding it harder and harder to do that here. Take my last post for example. I just don't feel that this is the place that I can vent some of my true feelings anymore. I can vent issues with work, my parents, and society in general. But I feel that I can no longer talk about things that upset me and hurt my feelings when Summer is concerned.
She reads every single post that I write. Most them she reads as I'm writing them over my shoulder. So that's part of my dilemma. The other part of the dilemma is that I really don't want to get into a he said she said thing here. Maybe that's not the correct wording. Many of my readers read what she has to say along with reading me. I'm just starting to see the down side to having us both blog.
I guess my point here (if there really is a point) is that I love my wife with all my heart. But as in everything marriage has it's ups and downs. I like to be able to write about both here. It just seems like it's getting harder and harder to write the downs that we go through. Maybe it's because I spent so many years being nothing but negative. I've really tried to to be a better person for her and for the kids the last few years. I feel that if I do some venting here that I'm reverting to my old ways again. I don't want Summer to feel that I am doing that to her either. On the same token as that I know that it will do absolutely no good to keep it all inside.
Did I make any sense?

I'm a WHORE!
In other news Summer and I ended our dry spell this morning. I was like a volcano erupting! :D It was an impromptu spur of the moment coupling. I like that term. Coupling.
Anyways Summer thought I was asleep this morning as she got undressed at the foot of the bed for her shower. I called her over to me, and pulled her back into bed and on top of me. It didn't take long to find my way inside either. We both had so much pent up sexual energy that it didn't take long for either of us to finish either. So that was the appetizer.
Have a great night friends. I know I will. ;-)
**Update 3/24/07 10:00AM**
Well that didn't go like planned at all. After I hit publish I went to take a shower. You know, so I could be all squeaky clean for our coupling. I still love that word. Coupling. Yeah.
So I walk into the bedroom, get undressed and Summer comes in after me. She starts grabbing me and says that when I get out of the shower it'll definitely be time for some coupling. (She actually said make love but I like coupling better.) so I'm all riled up and wired for sound. Things are getting hard already. I'm in the shower for 15 minutes tops (I had to give my hands a scrub type treatment to make them nice and soft for Summer). Get out dry off and walk out to the living room in my Scooby Doo 'Rrradies Man' boxers. How much more irresistible can a guy get? Only to be told that she is tired and ready to go to bed and sleep.
Can we say instant feelings of dejection? Good. Instant feelings of dejection. So instead of coupling we went to bed where I held her as she fell asleep on my chest. And I almost overslept for my midnight shift to start.
Don't get me wrong now. I thoroughly enjoyed the cuddle time. It felt great after a week of no cuddling. It just really hurt my feelings to be turned down like that. Especially after being told 15 minutes earlier that she was looking forward to our upcoming coupling. In my opinion the cuddling would have been much more satisfying after a good hour or more of coupling.
Don't you?

Getting really bad
For starters the new schedule has left me in a much better mood. Work is going smoothly and I don't have anyone micro managing me and watching my every move. I don't have to work with any of the annoying coworkers now. And my old supervisor is talking to me like an equal mow. Amazing what a promotion can do for you. The good thing about being in a better mood is that when I do see the family I'm in a great mood when I see them.
The down side is that there has been no time at all for Summer and I to get physical with each other. She had a visitor last week and it was really an unpleasant visit at that. Then yesterday she started back to work. So now I get home a little after midnight and she's dead asleep. She gets up at 5:30 to get ready for work and I'm dead asleep. I get up around 7:00 or so and try to help get the kids ready for school. The kids leave around 7:45 and she's out the door 10 minutes later. I go back to sleep for a few more hours, get up do whatever and leave for work at 3:15. She gets home from work a little after 4:00. So we don't have time to see each other, talk, or have fun time.
Truthfully I feel like my balls are going to explode at any moment now.
Seriously.
I may have to rethink this whole no masturbation thing.
The next time I possibly see any fun time in the future is maybe on Sat. night when she gets home from work and the kids are in bed. Oy-Ve'. I might forget what to do with everything by then.
Other than that things are going great! I'm happier. Summer is back to work so we once again have 2 incomes. It's finally raining again. I love my job and look foreword to going to work every day now.
It's good to be alive. :D

More hospitals
Well my mom calls around 1:15 and says the nurse just came in and said they are taking her down to the operating room in 15 minutes. Nice notice. So I rush down there and wait with my mom. Any ways they wanted to do the operation laproskopickly, but said it may have to be done by cutting her open due to some adhesion's from having her appendix removed and from a tubal pregnancy. Luckily they were able to do it the first way.
Everything went fine. They were able to remove her gall bladder with no problems. The Dr. came out and talked to my mom and I and said that the operation isn't the thing to worry about though. He said that with people her age the first 2-3 days of recovery are the critical time periods. After the operation her heart is working harder and at more risk. So now the real waiting game begins.
The problem was when I was in the waiting room. I get a call from Summer asking me when I was coming home. Grandma had just gotten out of the operating room so I haven't been able to see her. And here is SR wanting me to come home because she can't control the kids. I understand that the kids are a handful. But I needed to be there for my grandma. After all when her mom was in the hospital for her bypass operation I watched both our kids and another kid for over 14 hours by myself so she could be at the hospital where she was needed.
Am I asking too much by wanting the same in return?

39
Why you may ask?
I'll tell you why.
That my dear deaR FRIendsa is the number of hoursa I have been awake.
Oh fine. I guess your going to ask this too then - Why CH have you been up for more than 39 hours straIGHT?
I guess I'll have to tell you that as well. Just don't expect it to be coherant. My thoughts are anything bUT cohereant at the moment.
Anyways it all started yesterday. I woke at 7 and all was well for the entire day. I went to work at 3:30 and all was well at weork too. Then sR calls me at arouinf 9:15 or so. She says that my 83 year old grandma has called her because she was unable to get ahold of my mom. She was having severe stomach pains and cramps. I tried to get ahold of my parents to no avail. So I called my grandma. Talked to her and wanted her to call 911. Well not only is she 83 she is also STUBBORN!` She refused to call. Wanted me to call the adsvice burse first. So I called tme and told the info that I could and they said to get to her and see oif she was in a shocky condition. Called my boss and said I was leaving, got my work stuff all locked up. I couldn't just leave. I was sorting 60 preples pay checks. Had to put them in the safe. Then my mom called. Her and my dad were at a play in Sacto. To,d them what was going on and they said they were on the way and would meet us (grandma and me
) at the hospital in Vallejo.
I left work at 10 and went to her house to find hewr ion the phone to the advice nurse. She gave me the phone so she could ......how to say it nicely?........upchuk.
The nurse asked me some questions then asked me if she was having shortness of breathe. Grandma said yes so I was told to call 911. Called them and a few minutes later they ger there, do their thing and load her in the ambulance. Then they say they are tasking her to Stockton!! So they leave and I call my mom again to tell her that thjey werent taking her to Vallejo but stockto instead. They were in Dixon. 40 miles the other way. OUT of they way. So they came back through town and picked me up on the way as I didn't have gas to get to the hos[pital. We get there 15 minutes after the ambulance. Dad was making good time for an o9ld man. :D
By this time it was11:00. Importsant!
They tkae her blood and xrays around midnight. dad goes home with my sister around 1. My uncle goes home around 1:30-2:00. Mom and I stay. Around 2:30 they take her to get a cat scan? Cscan? some type of scan.
Around5:00 they take her for an ultrasound.
Qwe have been there for 6 hours so far and never ONCE did a Dr. come out to talk to us. Nurse says that there were some real abnormal test results. Theyre thinking intestinal blockage or gal stones.
Also keep in mind thAT NEITHER MOM NOR i HAVE SLEPT YET. Oh did I mention that when SR called I just put dinner in the microewave and it was dsetill in the their at work as I was at the hospital. That means no food since 11:45 on Thur. it was now fri.
arouind 8:00 this is 25 hours of no sleep we are told that she has pancritis or something like that. Who told us this? Grandma! DR still hasn't spoken to us!!!!!!
MY mom called relatives and told them what was going onh. Appparently my aunt called the hospital and reamed there asses for not taliing us directly. Head nurse comes out toi talk to my mom, says she just czame on shift ands asked what was happening. We told her the whole story. She says she didnt even know that grandma hasd relatives in the waiting area. I'm ghetting pissed by this time. I was tired. I needed a shower. I STUNK!! I could smell myself. My mom was still dressed up for her night out with my dad. I was starving!
Finally at 10:00 27 hours of being awake we see a Dr. He says that she is being admitted to the hospital indefinately for the pancriitis. She is allowed NO food. NO water untill the symptoms cure themselves. Great. Finally around 10:30 mom decides that if we dont go home soon she wont be able to drive us home. So we leave. My uncle and aunt would be there in 30 minutes anyways and there was nothing we could do. She finally was sleeping. Get home around 11:30 do to an accident. (4th fatal on higfhway 12 in 5 days) I takew a shower take a 45 minute nap, get re-dressed, go to grandmas house to meet mopm to get grandmas stuff so I coild take it to the hospital for her. She needed her bibles, rosary, glasses, teerth, stuff like tn atg.
Things get interesting around 2:30. I thought my mom wasa going back with me. She wasn't. That meant I had to take Summers truck to Stocjkton as she had a full tank. I don't. I call her and tell her and she gets mad at ME!!! WTF!!!!! She's mad because I'm driving her truck and leaving her truck less. She was planning on staying home anyways. I didn't feel like arguing so I hung up on her. Came home got in her truck and went back to the hospital. Just got home about half hour ago. Maybe 45 minutes.
Nothjinhg has changed. She is still in pain. Staying there at leasat throught the weekend. Maybe longer. Don't kinow. They do want to take another ultrasound to check the golstone issue when the pancreass gerts better.
So it is niow 10:30. Been awake since 7 yesterday morning. I have eaten a pice of cake and half a bowl of clam cjower. Anbd I'm no longer tired! I'm wired and ready to go! maybe has something to do with 8 cans of mountain dew, 2 bottles of mountain dew energy drinks and a 1 litre bottle of dew.
And there's no sex to put me to sleep either! no visits but lother issues down there. GRRRRRR! How am I going to fall asleep?

What month is this?
Saturday, March 03, 2007
But this just wasn't your typical run 'o the mill 'Oh yeah'. This one was special. this morning for the first time in a month I got to see some tatta's while in the throe's of passion. While my sexy wife was perched up on top of me I decided to undo the bra that she has been wearing 24/7 except to shower. Oh what a site. It was pure bliss. What was even more blissful was getting to rest my hands on those now much smaller tatta's. No fondling, or playing. Just resting my hands there feeling the new firmness in them. It was like the first time we ever slept together. I was making love to a 14 year younger SR. The stimulation for Summer was great too. Right after I put my hands on her she had one of the biggest, longest climaxes that she has had in quite some time. And that's a good thing. It means that there was no nerve damage in her sensitive places causing her to lose sensations there. That was a concern of ours going into this.
So all in all the recovery is going quite well. If only I can keep her resting like she is supposed to.

Interesting weekend
After dinner we had a cake for my dad and my mom thought it would be fun to put 61 candles on it. Talk about a blaze. :D Then she even got about a dozen of the candles that re lit. The youngest thought that was the greatest thing since sliced bred. After that my dad brought out the slide projector and we watched slides of my parents wedding day. It was pretty cool until the slides appeared of my cousin that was the ring bearer at their wedding. Those slides got fast forwarded through.Sat. was the day to put the new closet organizer in youngest closet. I took everything out of the closet, took all the old shelves down, and found out the new one won't work. So that meant a drive to Lowes about 40 minutes away to buy a new one. Which they didn't have. So we had to buy separate pieces to make one of our own. It worked though. He is SO happy about his new closet. He is able to hang up his own clothes now. So when I did the laundry Sat. he wanted us to watch him hang up all of his clothes. He was so proud of himself. I also got 4 hours of overtime on Sat. as well.
Sun. I got another 4 hours of overtime as well so I was unable to make it to church with Summer. She also got to drive my dads truck again. For some reason she's not to thrilled with driving it. I suppose that it just has to much testosterone for her to handle. :-D
Lastly I am such a good cook! Oh MY GOD! I cooked something new last night and it was wonderful. I took a pork loin roast that had 2 pieces tied on top of each other. Then I cut the string and separated the two pieces. Placed new string on a cutting board and placed 4 pieces of bacon over the string. Next I placed a loin half over the bacon. Then spread some raspberry preserves on top of the meat. Place the other half of the loin on top of the preserves, put on another 4 slices of bacon, and use the string to tie the loins back together. Oh I forgot something. I soaked some hickory chips in water for two hours before I started to cook. When I lit the gas grill (wanted to use charcoal but it was wet due to the rain) I put the soaked chips in a tin cup over the flames to get some smoke going. When the grill was good and smokey I placed the loin on the grill with a drip pan under it to keep the bacon grease from catching on fire and burning the meat. Let me tell you that the smells coming from the yard every time I went out there was just amazing.
I AM the grill master.

I must admit though that I answered number 2 based on our relationship over the bulk of our marriage and not the first 5 months of our marriage. At that point we didn't have sex from March 20th (8 days after our wedding) to July 25th (when I came home from boot camp). I don't count that period because we didn't choose to not have sex. If we were together we would most definitely have been making sweet sweet love. Oh yeah.

Dancing!
Finally! I have tried to make this post since last night. I forgot that when I set up my youtube account that it was set to make posts to the old Blogger account not the new one. But I finally got it straightened out after needing to create a new account with youtube. So here is what I tried to put up last night.
Tonight (last night) while downloading songs onto my ipod and shopping itunes I came across this song. I have heard it many times on the radio before but it was always with the electric guitars. Never acoustic. So I bought the song and played it on the computer. When the song started playing I grabbed Summer and started to dance with her in the living room.
It took her completely by surprise. We haven't danced in years. I'm not a dancer. I really love to dance. The closeness of it. The intimacy. It just gets me so horny! So it's a good thing we took care of that earlier in the afternoon. ;-)
Anyways it was real great. She was so happy and surprised. Her smile was huge. I'd even be willing to bet that if I were to look close enough that I could see her eyes starting to well up. We had a real enjoyable evening.
Any ways the song is called Everything changes by Staind. Their lead singer is Aaron Lewis and he sings some really moving songs. Most of them are about relationships. Like the one here. Someday I'm going to go see a show that Aaron Lewis does without the band. It's just him a guitar and a mic. Nothing else.

My favorite blonde reminded me in her comment that I never said what her romantic gift was. I heard about this place on the radio and thought that it was perfect. Real romantic. And unlike flowers, balloons, and other things that fade or die, this would be with us forever. I had a romance novel custom made just for her and I. I got it here at a site called Book by You. If you click there I got her the book called ER Fever. What you do is insert specific information like names, hair color, eye color, etc. and they add it into the story. The book has Summer as the heroine and me as the hero. I even got to add her best friend into the story.
I thought it would be perfect.
She loves to read. Check.
She loves romance novels. Check.
She loves me. Check.
It's romantic and Valentines is about romance. Check.
True she wanted a CD or just some flowers. I got her flowers, and balloons. But the CD just doesn't say I love you, or romantic. I also don't want to go buy a CD at a store when I can get one through Itunes for a lot less. (Yes I know it's not about money.) Lastly I didn't here the CD she wanted till it was too late to go to a store and get it on time. We live in the boonies remember.
Any ways before I sign off for the night I'll leave you with the back cover of the book. It has a picture of Summer and I thought I sent along with the order. Then it has the normal description of the book.
In ER Fever, gifted nurse Summer Rose works side by side with the dashingly
handsome doctor, Confused Husband, saving lives in an action-packed emergency
room. Both have sworn off romance, but even our pair of dedicated professionals
aren't immune to Cupid's spell.... thanks to a little help from Bo and their
trusted friends. Just as CH begins to win the heart of SR, a vengeful former
flame swoops onto the scene threatening not only their budding relationship but
also their careers. With lives on the line, spicy romantic encounters and
drama-filled boardroom showdowns, the high stakes world of ER Fever will get
your temperature rising. Pick up your prescription for passion and catch the
fever!

Do what?
Get a Valentines present for her. After the debacle that was last year I was through.
Then the day got closer and closer. I realized that it was very petty and child like of me to act in that way. So I found a gift that was very romantic. i thought that this would be the perfect gift. If I were a woman this would be exactly what I would want from the man that loves me.
So I ordered her gift on Mon. Paid extra money to have guaranteed delivery for V-day. That's when the first problem hit. The dam storms back on the east coast delayed the delivery. So much for guaranteed delivery.
It did get here today though. It was delivered to my parents house so that she would not see it. I picked it up and made sure it was the right thing. Came home and presented it to Summer. As is usual for me when I have a gift for her I am excited and happy. Just for the fact that I have a gift for her to show my love. I LOVE to give gifts! She opens it and gets upset. Again! That's 2 years in a row that this has happened.
So why should I bother with giving gifts anymore? Seriously. Our anniversary is in a few weeks, and a few weeks after that is her birthday. But apparently I suck at giving gifts so why bother? Why continue to set myself up for failure and humiliation? All those people that blog about how much V-day sucks and is just for businesses to make money are right. Not even a card next year. I'm DONE!

Happy birthday to ME!
Happy birthday to CH,
Happy birthday to me.
That's right. It's only 3 more hours till my 33rd birthday. I actualy can't wait for my birthday this year. That's just because of how great my wife is though. I'm getting an Ipod!!!!! I'm so excited. We bought it Sat. afternoon but she won't let me open it till tomorrow.
So we will be having my parents and grandma over for a lasagna dinner (my favorite), and some cake and ice cream.
As for an update on Summer she is doing beter. Today she didn't need any pain killers. YEAH! She also started to sleep in our bed again over the weekend. She was kinda forced to on Sat. night. Youngest gpt sick and insisted on sleeping on the couch. It's nice to have her in bed again, but it's still not the same. She is still staying in an upright position. She's not alowed to lay on her side. That's the worst part. No side laying means no spooning. No spooning means no cuddling. None the less it is still great to not sleep alone anymore.

Nothing here
Last night was the first time since the operation that I have seen her without a bra on. She still has quite a bit of swelling to lose, and is still bruised up a bit. At least it don't make me queasy to see her now. So that is a good thing. But even though there is some swelling left there is a huge difference in how she looks. The other day when she was wearing her bra I looked down at her and I felt weird for a moment. It was like looking at the breasts of a much younger person. It made me feel like a pervert for a split moment. Then she kissed me and the moment was gone. My wife is an entirely new person in the way that she looks now.
So enough of that.
I guess there is one thing that has happened this week of importance. I started my new job. It is so great! I get to sleep until 7:00 now. I get up with the kids and help them get ready for school before I leave for work. I even have time to make me some toast for breakfast.
The crew that I'm on is great. My supervisors really are doing a good job of training me. Let me just say that it is nice to have an office job for once. now if only I can learn to type. That is a must with this new position. I'm catching on a lot faster with the time keeping than was originally thought. Now I need to learn how to do the scheduling. We have 2 ferries and 2 bridges that run 24/7 and 3 bridges that run 16/7. scheduling them is going to be a pain. There are so many rules that I need to learn. The bigger pain is that some shifts are 12 hours and some are 8. So that will take a little longer to get used to. I have 3 more weeks to learn as much as I possibly can before I am left out on my own. Next month I will start working nights and be in charge of all the ferries and bridges myself.
The other thing that I like about this job is that the time seems to be going by so much faster. I'm looking forward to going to work now. There is no down time like my other position. I have NEVER had a job like that before. The best part is that I don't have to talk to my old boss anymore. Unless I want to. Which has been 2 times in the last 3 days.

Ever have one......
There are several things going through my head right now that are things to post about. But none of them are able to be stand alone posts. I just can't formulate them into something that can really be good to be one post alone. So I guess what I'm going to do is just give little snippets of the things running through my head right now. I apologize in advance if this post makes no sense what so ever or bounces all over the place. It don't even make sense to me!
First off we got out state tax return today. Like I said a few days ago- 'If you don't use E-file why not?' I filed last Sat. Check was deposited this morning in my checking account. It's the only way to go.
That being said we just had to go spend that money today. I paid off a credit card that we used for Christmas presents. 50% of the check gone. *SNAP* Just like that. After that check was written Summer decided that she wanted to get out of the house. So I washed her hair for her in the kitchen sink, gave her a bath/sponge bath, and helped her to get dressed. The boys were complaining about how hungry they were but I had plans. no time to stop and eat. Let's go!
First stop was the barber. I needed a hair cut badly. So did youngest. Afterwards I took the family out for a very late breakfast. It was more like lunch since it was after 12 by the time we got to the restaurant. After that we went to my favorite store. Wal-Mart. We got some things we really needed. Clothes, fishing licenses, you know. The necessities.
I was feeling really good about things. I took my family out for a really good breakfast. Bought them things they needed and wanted. Things were going beyond good. They were excellent. Then we went to work World so that I could buy my first pair of work boots in over 18 months. Not only were they my pair of new boots but they were the first pair of boots that I have paid more than 18 dollars for in over 7 years. I desperately needed work boots. My old ones had holes between the upper and the sole. They both leaked badly. My small toe was ready to pop out of my right boot.
So I got a pair of boots that were a little more than I wanted to spend. 70 bucks. I was alone when I picked them out. Summer was in the truck resting. I was supposed to get myself a new pair of jeans as well. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. So as I'm paying for the boots Summer comes in with the boys. She asks me where the jeans are. I told her that I couldn't bring myself to get them. She said that I should get them because I need them. She also said that the money for the boots was fine. I needed them. So that was a good thing.
Then on the way home it hit me. I started feeling kinda low. I don't know what brought it on. I just started thinking about the money that we just spent and I got this low feeling.
That got me to thinking. When I was spending the money I was in this almost euphoric state. then after the money was spent I went straight down. It's always been like that. I just never saw it till now. Now I just need to figure out what it all means.
Well look at that. That almost made a post unto itself.
Secondly things are driving me fucking insane at home. I'm going crazy! Summer has been sleeping in the living room since she got home from the hospital. I'm not able to hold her close when I hug her. When I do hug her I can't think about just enjoying the holding her. Instead I'm afraid that I'm going to hurt her. There really is something to be said about the lack of physical contact affecting your moods. That and the lack of sleep. I can't sleep without her in bed with me. I need to be able to hold her to fall asleep. I'm getting up in the middle of the night to help Summer get off the couch so she can walk around the house to keep her legs from cramping.
I'm NOT complaining about this. It's just taking it's toll on me.
Lastly this one is kinda irritating me. For the last5 days I've been busting my ass doing everything here. But then when the kids do something I'm the one that gets their head snapped off. What the hell is that about? I'm not the one doing something wrong. But I'm the one that is getting snapped at for no reason at all. This is really taking it's toll on both of us.
So how much longer till things go back to normal around here?

Hunting pictures
Summer out goose hunting in my farmers field.
Our boys.
Our very small decoy spread.
The sunrise on my final day of duck hunting.
Me with the days take of ducks. My goose, drake mallard, drake teal, my cousins hen mnallard and hen wood duck.
The end of day total. The birds from the picture above, and 5 pheasants. 3 hens and 2 roosters. It was a good way to end the season.

What a day!
When I got home she said that she was to see a specific nurse and they would have a bed waiting for her and she would be admitting her. Well to me that sounded like they were going to re-admit her to the hospital because they found some problems with the lab results 9they sent the tissue removed to the lab for testing). I immediately panicked and feared the worst. Several of my readers can attest to that. Sorry guys.
So we get to the hospital and they have a room waiting for us. They were expecting us as they said on the phone. But they were not admitting her, they were registering her for the visit. About 45 minutes before they called she had taken some of her pain meds and was felling a little loopy. Hence the misunderstanding.
The visit was because the doctor had given SR's nurses specific instructions to give us when we left the hospital. First of all they were supposed to give her a special bra to wear while she was still enlarged from the swelling. They never gave it to her. They were also supposed to tell us to NOT change her dressings until we saw him again on Mon. Instead they told me to change her dressing daily. He found out about the mix up and wanted to set things straight. That was the reason for the visit.
So we got the proper bra. He re-dressed the surgery area. And I got to get the first look at her new tatas. Even with the swelling there is a huge difference. I can't wait till the healing is over. It'll be like opening a new present on Christmas morning. :D I'm so excited.
The rest of the day was spent taking care of her and helping her around the house. Doing laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaning, bathing kids.
so that was my day. Accomplished nothing I wanted to get done. My garage is still a mess. My hunting gear is still all over the place. And Summer's truck is still filthy.
Here's to a better day tomorrow.

Where to begin?
So my cousin and I were making plans to go duck hunting for the entire weekend that weekend. Then on Wed. night (1/17) as we were talking about the last minute details my uncle broke in on the line to say that his M-I-L just passed a few minutes ago.
Now she was not family to me, but she did babysit me a few times as a kid and we stayed in touch through family events through the years. I had just eaten dinner with her 2 weekends prior when I hunted with my cousin last. she was not in good shape at all. She was in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's.
So my parents drove me down for the funeral on Sat. I had decided to go to the funeral instead of going hunting for the day. While there I had a few awkward moments with my aunt that is the mother of my divorced cousin. She and I had a little squabble on Myspace that I never posted about. So that was weird but other than that it was a good service.
While there I also started talking to my parents and and a few other relatives about retirement. Yeah I know. I'm too young to retire. That's ok though. Something that I am a firm believer in is that a person can NEVER be to young to plan for retirement. anyways I had always planned on retiring at the age of 59 1/2 (The age to draw from my 401k with no penalties). Through talking with my parents I found out that I can actually retire at the age of 55! Is that awesome or what? I can retire 4 1/2 years early. Then get another job like driving truck or whatever for the next 5-8 years. Then be done for good with the payments from SS. If I even decide at that point I want to work after leaving the state. I really won't have a need to. Outside of keeping me occupied while not hunting, fishing, and traveling.
The day after the funeral Summer asked me to stay home from hunting to be with her and the kids for the day. So I stayed home. but the wind picked up late in the afternoon and I couldn't pass on the opportunity. I told the boys to meat me in the truck in 15 minutes if they wanted to go on a quick trip to a farmers field for the last 2 hours of shoot time. That's when Summer asked if she could go too. So the whole family went. We had a really good time. Didn't fire a shot, but got to see thousands of geese grinding in the adjacent field. Not owned by the farmer that gave me permission to hunt. My work is cut out for me for next year. :D
Then came Wed. That was to be the last day of my duck season. I just didn't know it at the time. It was an awesome hunt. I ended the season with a bang. Literally. I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I shot 3 birds for over a box of shells. But I did get 2 nice drakes. 1 mallard, 1 teal. And my first and only goose for the season. After my cousin and I were done duck hunting his dad called us up and asked if we wanted to shoot some pheasants. Since I haven't shot a pheasant in years I said I'd love to. So he had 6 pheasants planted in a field for us by the time we got back to his club. We walked out there for the final hunt of the season and watched some amazing dog work by my uncles dog. We got 5 out of 6 birds.
It was the perfect way to end the season.
The next day is when I got sick and I was in bed for 3 straight days. I was out of bed long enough on Sat. to get my taxes done though. I just love e-file. If you don't use it I can just say this- Step into the 21st century people! This is not the 1940's anymore! It's the only way to go.
Last night Summer attended another one of my therapy appointments with me. We had a good time there. My therapist actually thinks that I am ready to see my psychiatrist to see about reducing my meds. Only problem is that she is out of the office indefinitely. My therapist, SR and I all think that the talk I had with my parents last month has a huge deal to do with why I am feeling so much better. I just got so much stuff off of my chest that night. It has truly been a life altering night.
And now the news everyone has been waiting for. Drum roll please.

Summer had her breast reduction surgery this morning! She went under the knife at 8:00AM this morning. It took a little longer than anticipated, but the surgery went great. Of course they didn't let me come in to see her until after 2:00! Then I had to leave at 4:00 to get back home to pick youngest up from his after school program. So I only had 2 hours to spend with her. she was pretty groggy which is to be expected. But she is so happy to finally have it done. Now we just have to wait for the heeling process to finish so we can see how it looks. For the next 7 days she has to wear a bra 24/7. She is not allowed to take a shower until her post-op appointment next Mon. I don't go back to work until next Tue. So I will be here to help her around the house. Or rather make sure she stays in bed. She is staying tonight in the hospital and will return tomorrow. I am going to see her as soon as the boys are off to school. She should be home a little after lunch. Fingers crossed. Parents leave for Mexico in the morning and won't be here to get kids from school.
One last thing. While waiting to get to go and see Summer a coworker called me and "disguised" his voice to tell me that my temporary promotion and crew change got approved today. So as of Feb. 1 I will be getting a 5% out of class pay raise for up to a year and $0.50 an hour raise for working an evening shift. When I return to work on Tue. I will no longer have to work with annoying coworker! (If you haven't read about her I recommend clicking both links to get up to speed.)
Tomorrow I'll post some pictures from the last 2 hunting trips for the year.

Better!
So now it is time for our hero to get some sleep in. Perhaps even have some more amazing sex with his wife. Then they must get up at 3:30 AM to get ready for the 6:00 appointment for surgery. After which there will be a very, very long dry spell in store.
Tune in next time when we see how the operation turned out.
Friday, January 26, 2007
Today hasn't been much better either. I'm not dehydrated anymore. But I'm still in bed. Haven't gotten out of bed since I got home at 4 AM. My entire body aches. I'm sweating like mad. I'm STARVING! The last real meal I ate was dinner on Wed. night. Had nothing to eat at all yesterday, and only 4 pieces of toast today. I'm amazed at how much I have been sleeping the last 2 days.
Well that's enough for now. Time to rest up some more.

Ch Is Very Sick
All in all it was a good night, this morning CH woke up not feeling well. About 12:15 p.m. He calls my cell which is off since I was at work and told me he was going to the e.r. he hasn't been feeling well since I left for work. The second to last text message I got said they are taking blood from me, and finding me a room. His dad took him to the hospital and that is where he is at the moment.
On top of Ch going to the hospital, I was called to get C from school he isn't feeling well either. I just hope and pray that I don't get whatever is going around because I have my operation on Tuesday.
May every one's weekend be a good one.

Well all of the fears were taken care of yesterday. Our dashingly handsome hero has had his fears put at ease. The mold inspector came to the house and looked at the problem areas. He tested the walls with a moisture detecting device. It detected no moisture on the walls at all. Apparently most of the problem is due to the age of the house. The house was built in 1959. There is absolutely no insulation between the interior and exterior walls. Therefore when it is cold outside and warm inside the condensation builds up on the walls. Then the condensation sticks to dust that is on the walls and grows into mold. It is not on the inside of the sheet rock because mold does not penetrate semi gloss paint.
So what is the cure for this? It is actually quite simple. Once a month our hero and his amazingly sexy spouse should wipe the walls down with a mild soap solution to kill the micro-organisms. The company is going to call back in a few days with an estimate to come and take out the sheet rock in the master bath and replace it. They will also give an estimate to replace all 9 windows in the house. No need to replace carpet. No need to move out for awhile so work could be done.
So till next time it is now time for the dashing hero and his amazingly sexy wife to get a decent sleep and maybe have a quiet meal.

Help needed from women.......PLEASE
Do any of you see the need to keep baby clothes from your kids? Seriously. This has been a long standing disagreement with Summer and I. She has several boxes (yes SEVERAL) of clothes from both boys that she refuses to give away or throw out. WHY?! I see no need for this. It is a waste of valuble space. Our boys will never wear them again. When they have kids of their own they will be unusable anyways due to being eaten by moths, or the simple fact that they won't be the "in thing" for kids to wear in the future. They just sit in the boxes not being looked at or anything.
Do all women do this? Is there something in my male brain that just is not getting the point here? Wouldn't it be better to donate them to the Goodwill or something? Maybe a charity that helps single teen moms. I don't know. Anything is better than what we are doing now.
Just to be fair I also realize that I have junk of my own that I need to get rid of to save space myself. I am in the process of doing just that.
If it is a woman thing that all women do I will drop the issue.
Well on to what I was saying. One of the good things that came out of the late night conversating that my parents and I had was that my mom is now going to tutor our oldest son 2 times a week. That has started to take effect last week once school started back from Christmas break. So far things are going pretty good. Hopefully this will help him improve on his reading and math.
The other good thing that came out of the night has to do with the house. As you recall from this post last year we have a problem with our house. It has mold growing on the walls. It never did go away even after the cleaning we did to it last winter. We scrubbed the walls with bleach and it went away for awhile but it has returned to haunt us yet again. So I talked to my parents about the problem that night too. I told them that the homeowners won't do anything about the problem. We can't sell due to the problem. We can't live in the house like it is much longer because of the problem. I can't do anything about the problem to fix it because it will cost MAJOR bucks to do it.
So my parents said that they would do some looking around for a mold inspector to come out and look at the house and do some tests to determine what kind of mold we are dealing with. Well they found someone, and that person is coming to inspect the house tomorrow afternoon. He will find out what kind of mold it is and see if he can determine the cause of it. Although from the conversation he had with my dad he has a good idea of what it is. He will then determine what we need to do to alleviate the problem and give us an estimate on repair costs.
At that time my parents will decide if they have the funds to help us out and pay for the repairs. We can pay them back in a few years if we decide to sell the house. Or they said it could be deemed an early inheritance. I really don't like asking my parents for this kind of help. Especially with the guessing of how much it will cost to fix the problem. We're talking several thousand dollars up to possibly 20k or more. At the very least we need top replace all the carpet, replace the sheet rock from the floor up 4 feet on all exterior walls, and possibly replace all the windows in the house. The windows is because we have aluminum frame windows and they sweat in the winter. If we go with plastic frame windows they won't sweat, plus they will have a better insulation ability. Plus the possibility of replacing all the mattresses in the house and all furniture with cloth ie couches, etc.
Anyways asking for this much help makes me feel like I can't support my family. I also don't like taking this money from my parents because they are both retired and are now traveling all over the place enjoying life. If they give/lend the money to us then they won't have the money to use it for themselves. On the other hand we can not live like this. Summer and our oldest have been getting these really bad headaches anymore. It is starting to affect our health. So I'm stuck between the rock and the hard place.

We haven't taken the time to enjoy a full course meal in a very long time. Lately we've been eating a lot of take out and fast food. These fancy restaurants are nice to enjoy and have been sorely missed.
My back is feeling better now BTW. Not 100%, but better none the less.

After a little bit of time at the computer oldest calls and asked when we wanted him home. Told him that dinner would be done around 6 and be here by then. That was a little before 5. Well I'm not one to waste some alone time with my wife if at all possible. So I went to her and hugged her and started kissing her neck and nibbling her ear lobes. I just love to do that to her. She shudders and giggles when I do that to her. She immediately asked me if I wanted to go into the bedroom.
Do humans need oxygen?
She walked into the bedroom and stepped into the wash room and closed the door. So I just laid on the bed waiting for her. She came out fully undressed. She just takes my breathe away when she does that. Seeing her naked form in front of me. Simply amazing.
She laid next to me in bed and said she wanted me to hold her so she could relax some more after work. No problems from me. Cuddle time is as good to me as nookie time. We just lay there holding each other and she began to talk to me about how her day went. I just listened to her and didn't try to say anything unnecessary. After she was done talking she kissed me and basically told me to make love to her now. Then she started taking off my clothes and rubbing my chest. I thought she wanted some slow love making so I went to kiss her and do a little foreplay when she said no. She wanted me in her. Now. I reached over to the nightstand, grabbed the lube and applied some to myself and just entered into her. She was really ready sooner than I expected her to be. It was wonderful;. No one was home. Doors were open. We were vocal. I felt myself getting ready to climax and she told me to just let it go. I did just that. A minute later oldest walks in the front door calling for us saying he was home.
Can you say show stopper?
I jumped up from bed and ran to close the bedroom door just in time to see my mom walk in the front door. Summer and I just looked at each other and laughed.
IO got dressed and went to the living room to greet mom and my son. I was a little flushed.
Learned my lesson though. Always watch the clock!
Now to see if we can continue tonight where we left off yesterday. This time it's all about pleasuring her.

Wonderful weekend
Why you ask?
I'll tell you!
First of all I left the house on Fri. night to go duck hunting for the weekend. more importantly though Summer's sister was gone when I came home yesterday! :D My house is now back to normal. I can walk around in my boxers again after the kids go to bed. I don't have to come into the living room to find some lame ass show on my television (insert some stupid model contest show, and anything on MTV). I can sit in my living room with no television on and enjoy the silence. just me and my computer screen. I can now read blogs and post when I want to without someone looking at the screen to see what I'm doing. I can IM with people without being questioned for it.*
It's just a great feeling.
So before I go into detail about how the hunting was let me answer a question from Rob on my last post.
If SR's sis is such a total nutbar at times, driving you completely bonkers, then why do you have her staying at your home? Is this your new year's resolution to address self abuse? (evil grin)
No rob this is not my resolution. I don't make resolutions. The reason we have her stay here during holiday times of the year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter) is because she is free babysitting. Summer and I work whether school is in or not. The kids get 3 weeks for Christmas, and 1 each for Easter and Thanksgiving. She don't have a job so that isn't an issue for her to come over. Summer gets to spend time with her sister. Even though she drives her nuts she is still family and Summer can't stand to have her alone during family gathering times of the year. Besides she only drives us batty after she has been here for awhile. She does love the kids and for the most part does a good job with them. I mainly just don't like house guests for extended stays. That's why we have put our foot down on the subject of her coming to live with us. We made that mistake with my sister and we're not making it again.
So on to the hunting.
My uncle and I hunted together on Sat. morning. It was a really good day. Cold, foggy, slight breeze. It was cold enough to actually have a very thin layer of ice over the pond till about 10:30-11:00. We had birds around almost the whole day. They worked the call good, but wouldn't commit to actually land. But they did come in pretty close quite a few times. I just couldn't hit the broadside of a barn at all. I go
In other great news Summer received an email over the weekend saying that her laptop has been shipped back from the manufacturer. We will once again be allowed to post at will without competing for the internet. I'm expecting it to be here Thu. or Fri. at the latest. I can't wait.
There's other things I want to relate to you all but it just don't fit into this post so I'll try to get to it tomorrow.
*Yes Summer knows that I IM with people over the net. Both male and female. We are both secure enough in our relationship now that it isn't a problem. I really have a hard time talking to people IRL so the net makes it a lot easier for me. Besides it's cool to see how people do things in different parts of the country. I just have a hard time remembering the time difference. I guess there is one down side to being on the west coast. Everyone else is in bed when I'm available to chat.

2007!
So what did Summer and I do to ring in the new year last night? Absolutely nothing. We watched a few movies with the kids and S-I-L, had a drink that I didn't finish, and went to bed around 11:45. Yup. SR and I are major party animals. We couldn't make it to midnight. I started reading a little bit before I fell asleep. Luckily someone down the street set off some fireworks a little after midnight so I was able to wake up and kiss Summer and say happy new year.
That was it. No resolutions (I don't believe in them). No rowdy parties. Nothing. I'm actually surprised that we stayed up that late.
So who really knows what the new year will bring? I for one haven't got the slightest clue. I DO know what it won't be bringing though. It won't be bringing me the promotion I was hoping for. I got a notice from the state a few days ago. It said that the entire test was going to be thrown out. AFTER they mailed out the results and rankings. So now I need to take another test sometime in June. So the promotion will need to wait another year at least.
Not everything on the work front is bad news though. I did get a 5% raise effective today. :D
I also found a little way of making a few extra bucks on the side. I've got a few coworkers that would like me to do their taxes for them. I'm getting the turbo tax program this year and do my own. Why should I pay someone $250 to do them for me when I can do them myself for the price of a program. My coworkers feel the same way. But they are to afraid of the computer to do them. So they said they would pay me $50 a piece to do them for them. So I've got enough people wanting them done to pay for the program. That's not including doing them for my parents, sister, and grandma. But those are for free. I highly recommend that if you are tired of paying big bucks to tax people that you go buy this for yourself. I've used Turbo Tax for 6 years. Then last year we went to a tax company to have them done for us due to Summer's business and buying the house. You know what? He used the same dam program! And he charged us a little over $250 to do it. What a waste of money.
Well it's time to go now. I'm just doing this because someone told me that I needed to post. Even though that someone deleted her blog by "screwing" around. I'm sure you know who you are. Don't you someone. :D
On a topic completely out of left field, did you know that Summer's sister is a total freak? She seems to think that a threesome is the cure to every couples problems. FREAK!
